Community Life Report

Santiago Valentin, Community Life Pastor

Our LGCC community life is alive and well! 2024 was a busy year across our church family as we focused on meeting people where they were at in their journey and helping them deepen in their relationship with the Lord. We were able to do this in a variety of exciting ways.

We walked alongside 17 individuals as they took the time to learn more about the church as part of our NextSteps series. This was a special year because we saw both new attenders and seasoned members attend these classes together as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge not only our church but also God’s plan for them as a part of it. Coming out of the Next Step classes we were overjoyed to see 14 people make the decision to join LGCC as full time members.

Two very special types of Sunday service include baby dedications and baptisms. We were able to walk with 3 families as they dedicated their children to the Lord and 7 individuals who made the decision to outwardly express their salvation through baptism. We always want to take time during our services to celebrate these joyous occasions with our members.

One of the most critical elements of our Community Life Ministry is our Life Groups. Life groups offer the opportunity for individuals to experience Christ in a small group context. Throughout 2024 we offered over 12 different life groups on topics ranging from our discipleship Discovery courses, different Bible/theology classes, and specific groups for men, women, and young families. We were overjoyed to see that on average ~70% of our members were involved with a life group at some point during the year.

'Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.'

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)
