Advent: A Season of Preparation

Advent is a time of preparation for an encounter with the God who came in the flesh. In a similar way, liturgy builds toward and prepares the congregation for the proclamation of the Word. As we prepare for Christmas, we eagerly celebrate the coming king, while looking forward to his soon return.
