2024 was a very exciting year for our Connections Ministry team! Our Mission is to “Help every first-time guest turn into a church member." This is led by our High Five Ministry team as they are the frontline for our church interactions at all events the LGCC is involved. This includes everything from helping church goers crossing the street, a warm greeting at the door with a fresh cup of coffee (thanks to a new coffee machine), and gifts for first time visitors.
We also strived to care for our existing members in 2024 through both prayer and meal support for those going through difficult times. The Prayer Tree Ministry was very active as our prayer warriors spent the year both lifting up both praise and asking for God’s wisdom and mercy as our members experienced various seasons of life. To further aid our members, the Meals train provided meals to various members throughout the year.
The Connections and Care Ministry is so special because we have the opportunity to meet someone as they walk through LGCC’s doors for the first time, watch as they become members of the church, and then walk along side them through support as they go through various seasons of life. 2024 has been a special year for this ministry and we look forward to what God has in store in 2025.
'You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.'
Ephesians 4: 22-24 (NIV)
